The Weekend Special

This weekend is very special because the YipMan is away in Delhi for the next 9 days. This is the longest duration that he is going away for since we dated almost 2 years now. The departure on Friday was less of drama but plenty of anticipation of what it's going to be like to be away from each other for this long. It's kinda silly huh! Comparing to couple that travel 60-70% for work, our separation is considered 'easy to get by'. *tsk tsk tsk*

I started Saturday only at 12pm and was so satisfied with the laziness. Woke up with a daze, I took out a piece of mooncake and pour some cereal to start the 'morning'. Then i remembered there are some streaky bacon, white mushroom and cheerytomato in the fridge and so not to waste any of those beautiful meat, I whipped up a BaconMush Olio Aglio. I made this slightly different as I decided to let the mushroom simmer with garlic, fresh basil and parsley first before I add in the bacon from the initial panfry and tomato. It's really yum with the strong herb taste and slightly salted meal. Someone is missing out something here.... :)

So after lunch, called out by Callie and Mario to Spruce for coffee and cakes. This is the second time to Spruce but the first to sit and dine. I had a pleasant impression of the food during Felix Hug photo exhibition 2 months back but this time round, the coffee and dessert was not matching to the expectation. Nonetheless, i had good company with this dual and parted ways to head to church, and them, to Megazip!

Church was great! Why?
  1. Because there were God
  2. Because He lifted my faith
  3. Because He bless me with faithful friends
I had a really good time with the cell group - sincere people, nice and not pushy. Then spent the rest of the night with 3 close-y - June, Euzanne and Brandon. I had an intimate moments with the gals (brandon is a boy, fyi) and came home feeling I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. :)

1. Ingredient for lunch 2. BaconMush Olio Aglio 3. Latte and Sundae 4. $1.30 Economical Vege

Sunday has yet came to an end. I trot down to Cluny for SimplyBread for a quick brekkie, then to Holland Village for some marketing for tonight's dinner. Tonight's dinner will be Seafood Kway Teow Tom Yam Soup and Stirfry 'Nai Bai' with Brown Mushroom. Total cost: $8

As for the rest of the day till dinner time, I have no plans to do anything. Just go with the feeling then...
